“Well Written Procedures Protect our People, the Plant & the Environment"

Safety Performance LLC provided Procedure Writer Training for employees at the Longridge Power Generation plant in Hanibal, Ohio.  Students were provided with the basic writing, skills and practices needed to create and improve procedures. They were also taught to recognize Human Performance Concepts as an integral part of quality as well as use of procedures.  The benefits of having high quality procedures include:

·       Consistent use of a quality procedure yields intended results repeatedly.
·       Keeps everyone on the same page.
·       Reduces risk of accidents and injuries.
·       Provides a road map to improve.

There was strong enthusiasm among attendees in learning more about procedure writing. Feedback included the following:
